Staying Safe
Human Lynks keeps your contact details private and relays every message until you choose to meet — but real-world meetups still deserve common-sense care. A few rules of thumb:
- Meet in public first. For a first meeting, pick a busy, public spot — a coffee shop, a lobby, the venue itself — especially before any work happens inside a home.
- Tell someone your plans.Share where you’re going, who you’re meeting, and when you’ll check back in.
- Keep conversations in the relay. Until you’ve met and feel comfortable, let messages flow through Human Lynks — that’s what it’s for. Be wary of anyone pushing hard to move off-channel right away.
- Agree on pay and scope up front. Confirm the task, hours, and rate in writing before work starts. Never send deposits or gift cards to someone you haven’t met.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, stop. You can walk away from any request, event, or meeting at any point — no explanation needed.
