A small independent feature film shooting in the Flatiron/Chelsea area this fall is looking to fill one more key crew spot: First AD. The project is a quiet, character-driven psychological drama — small cast, a handful of locations, and a tight 5-6 day shoot. Think restrained and atmospheric rather than big and flashy, so the right person should be comfortable with a slower, more deliberate pace on set. This role is best suited to someone currently working as a Key PA or 2nd AD who's ready to take the next step up. For this particular role, the production is looking specifically for a woman, to fit the budget and crew already in place. Budget is modest, so pay is on the lean side, but the team is committed to doing this project the right way with people who genuinely connect to the material.
