A catering and events company based in the Chelsea area is expanding its freelance culinary team and looking for skilled sushi chefs for high-end corporate events, private parties, and brand activations around the city. You'll be preparing sushi, sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls, and specialty rolls with an eye for clean presentation, plus helping with event setup, service, and breakdown as needed. This is flexible, gig-based freelance work — good for chefs who want to pick up extra events on their own schedule. They're looking for real professional sushi chef experience, strong knife skills, and comfort handling raw fish under pressure. An NYC Food Protection Certificate is a nice-to-have but not required.
