What’s involved
An event staffing agency is expanding its on-call hospitality team for events across New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and the greater Tri-State area. Currently recruiting for several roles: event servers/waitstaff, bartenders, event captains/lead servers, prep and line cooks, dishwashers/utility staff, kitchen assistants, setup & breakdown staff, and brand ambassadors/guest services staff. What they're looking for: around 2 years of recent hospitality, catering, restaurant, or event experience preferred; professional appearance and attitude; dependable and punctual; comfortable working weddings, corporate events, galas, private parties, and other events; able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; willing to travel around the Tri-State area (reliable transportation is a plus); bartenders with TIPS or similar certification are especially encouraged to apply; must be authorized to work in the US; and willing to complete a brief orientation/training before assignments begin. Pay is competitive hourly, based on role, verified experience, and assignment — roughly $19-24/hr, with experienced captains, bartenders, and culinary staff potentially qualifying for higher-paying assignments.
